Default FS:(NJ) Deadbolt SZ49...May need a Rebuild...$550 shipped

For those of you who do not know, my turbo blew so I decided to upgrade. http://www.iwsti.com/forums/2802788-post1525.html My Loss is your gain because I am selling this turbo for a great price. There is almost no play in the shaft but because of an issue with my filter, some debris got past the filter and chipped up the wheel.

Asking $550

Disclaimer: This turbo may require a rebuild and may need a compressor wheel. Blouch does rebuilds starting at $349 for the basic rebuild on this turbo, so this is a steal. 1) this turbo is not being produced anymore. 2) a number of upgrades that came from Deadbolt.

I will have the turbo off the car on Friday so pics of the current condition will be posted then.

Specs:

Modified ZILLA(TM) TD06H clipped turbine wheel(FATBOY),
-49lb compressor wheel
-Monster Port(TM)
-Black Xtreme(TM) coating on turbine housing
-Red Ceramic coating on the compressor housing
-3" Inlet**
-Internally Wastegated with adjustable waste-gate spring from 15-19 lbs

** 3 inch inlet WILL require the use of Tumble Generator Valve Deletes on cars equipped with TGV's. Will also require a 3 inch inlet tube.

With appropriate modifications and tuning this turbo can sustain 30 PSI and well over 400WHP!

Some of my Dyno Charts with this turbo:

PUMP GAS 93 Octane

Deadbolt SZ49 24psi - 3 inch inlet, IWG, Fatboy wheel, APS525 FMIC, PE850, APS 70mm, Greddy EVO2 Cat Back, HKS headers, Prodrive Boost Solenoid - Tuned EFI Logics

PUMP GAS +75% Methanol

Deadbolt SZ49 24psi - 3 inch inlet, IWG, Fatboy wheel, APS525 FMIC, PE850, APS 70mm, Greddy EVO2 Cat Back, HKS headers, Prodrive Boost Solenoid, Aquamist HFS6 Methanol injection - Tuned EFI Logics

Pictures from when I received it back from Deadbolt 2 Years ago.

Asking $550

PM me with any questions if you have them.

I would be happy to send it to Blouch instead of the buyer for whomever buys it. But since your in NJ, I would be happy to meet up with you and show it to you. I am willing to negotiate but $550 shipped is very fair considering a basic rebuild is $375 from Blouch. The custom compressor wheel is $275.

I will be honest in saying, now that I know I had a engine issue with the car (Head Gasket), the turbo may not need a rebuild.

what makes you think it needed a rebuild in the first place if you don't mind me asking?

It all goes back a while...

A few months ago, when I went into boost, I would get a bunch of blue smoke emitting out of my exhaust and a good amount of Oil Loss when I was hammering on it. Took it to EFI to have some other work done and for them to check it out. Compression tests checked out fine and was still producing GREAT power, so we were all stumped on what it was. The only culprit it could of been was the turbo because my A/O seperator was not really wet at all.

I purchased an ATP3076 and had EFI do the entire install and during the first pull on the dyno with less boost then I had before, Blew the headstuds sending coolant out of the overflow.

That being said, I have been getting minor issues with the coolant before this but didn't put 2 and 2 together. Looking back on it, I am thinking that it wasn't the turbo at all and was the engine the entire time.

The compressor wheel has some nicks on it from an issue with my 70mm intake and the cover coming off allowing some debris to enter the compressor side. Would it be safe to run without doing anything, I think so because my issue ended up being a head stud issue, not turbo.

^That may be the issue - your head bolts lifting causing that problem. Honestly, this is a great price for a turbo that is capable for 400+whp. This would be the perfect time in sending it in to Blouch and having them upgrade it so you could make 450+whp. I have my SZ55 Deadbolt turbo with 0 issues, she put 412whp on a mustang dyno before my head bolts lifted, oh that was with the Aquamist HFS-6 and just putting the baseline with no added tuning! Should be good for 500+whp no problem. Steve good luck with the sale, at that price, its going to go by QUICK!
