Default Interior opinions

So I removed the passenger wood trim... I placed some vinyl over it. What do you guys think? Right now its only a $30 fix, I'm not totally sold on it. I think that its better than the wood, but not 100% loving it.

I think it looks a ton better. How does it look up close? By that I mean, does it look like came from the factory that way or is obvious it's just vinyl.

I really like it, although I think it doesn't lend enough contrast to the rest of the dash. I would be satisfied with either "wood" or "carbon fiber".

Yeah I feel the same, it fits in the interior and doesn't provide any contrast. Real carbon fiber wouldn't do anything more than wth the 3m vinyl. Only make you feel <giggity I have real cf>

I think they have some brushed aluminum vinyl too. I think I'd try that.

Would be easier (maybe cheaper) to just by the interior trim parts off a 2010 Legacy Premium

I do like it but I would say that the brushed aluminum ones would be really nice. I do like the carbon fiber though!

Now that I have seen the fake brushed aluminum ones... I'll keep what I go.

That being said, you can buy the new parts for pretty cheap.

That vinyl looks awesome. Carbon fiber is an all time favorite patten of mine.

I like it better than the wood, but I understand why you're not sold on it 100%. Maybe (if the surface is smooth enough) spraying it down with a few coats of clear might give it that extra contrast of the matte dash to gloss trim. Just my .02

I may be a tad weird but I liked the look of the original faux wood trim. I guess its an issue of personal taste.

The surface is textured with that pattern.

Its funny, I liked this kind of wood when it came in my Infiniti, but I don't like it in my Legacy. It just seems like each car has a different character. I wish it came with the black wood grain. That would've been classy and stylish.. IMO

I did this to my 99. I did everything. Door inserts, the back deck piece and the headliner. I love it!
