Default Dyno'd RS-T's? Here's mine...

Wow all these big numbers from WRX's makes my little RS look so puny Oh well here's my Dyno sheet...Mods are JC Sports Turbo Kit, with I guess a VF22 BB (though this has been questioned now as it may not be that big ) and a RRFPR, boost at 6psi.

This was at the flywheel...Since then I've added a Tec-2 (tuned by Shiv) clutch, flywheel, 8psi...its a lot faster now! I had another dyon day scheduled, but my tranny broke the day before But I should be back on the dyno in Febuary with some more cool toys, so I'm estimiating about 25-50hp more next time Also next time I'm gonna have them give me the figures for at the wheels.

Lets see some other Dyno'd RSs!!!

EDIT: oh yea, best run was 240/249, but that graph doesn't look as good (not scaled properly for my car) so I posted the second run which is spread out more

Sweet Ethan. Post the new numbers when you Dyno next.

So, to play like the "wrx'ers" who is going to be the required RS-T "Dyno Troll". Al has the WRX covered we need someone to step up for the RS-T crowd

My Gen 2 JCS turbo kit at 8.75 & 10 psi boost and at 6,000 feet, wheel HP, not crank... Last run was too rich. 95 octane, no timing retard, 2.5" catback. Car has been upgraded since with 3" catback and timing controller. New JCS Gen 3 kit with Air/Water IC going on in 2-3 weeks...

231.4 hp @ wheels
248 ftlbs @ wheels

[edit - this is with VF22 BB turbo, not the legacy turbo - peeps from JCS seem to agree it is a VF22]

I`m not going to go into this whole debate AGAIN! But its a Mustang Dyno. They give power at the Flywheel, and just so you know how accurate it is....a stock WRX dyno`d at 222hp~219 and near stock RS was at 170hp. So I would say this is a pretty accruate reading of my power at the flywheel. BUT they do have the option of giving you wheel power too! Though I didn`t know that until after the fact.

ImprezaRS dot com - 231 whp and 248 torque? pretty good! I'm looking for >250 whp and 250 ft/lb at the wheels (I've got a wrx). What the heck or where the heck can I get a "timing controller"??

I don't understand how you get flywheel hp - I thought all rolling dynos were wheel hp...

Good Luck!

Email info@subaruplanet.com and ask for the pricing on an APEXi ITC or a Split Second timing controller. The ProECM timing controller is almost done, but is a ways from manufacture yet.

I'll be picking up another 40whp I think with my new up/downpipes and air water IC in a couple of weeks.

I think the dyno calculates wheel hp, then they do a run down test (or something like that) which calculates the drive train loss. So with a little math, you can get the numbers.

Look at it this way:

Stock RS does 128hp to wheels at 5,500rpm at sea-level
Larry's Turbo does it by 3,200rpm at 6,000 feet

Stock RS at does 98hp to the wheels 6,000 feet
Stock WRX does 156hp to the wheels on the same dyno at 6,000 feet
Larry's Turbo beats the WRX before 3,500rpm at 6,000 feet

Another Dyno the WRX did 185hp to the wheels with a boost controller
Larry's turbo beats that by 3,700rpm

Stock WRX makes 227 at the crank
Larry's turbo does 231 at the wheels

I make over 200hp to the wheels from 3,800 - 6,000 rpm

I will be dynoing again after my new 3" downpipe, uppipe and air water intercooler go on, hopefully installed within 2-3 weeks.

Do you guys want me to do it with 93 octane pump gas, or add 10% toluene for 95 octane? Let's vote

Here is my dyno...

5 PSI at the wheels I was making 190Hp
- 2.5" exhaust with high flow cat
- 91 Octane
- T3 Turbo and 15 inch TMIC (Ludespeed Stage II)
- Link Plus engine management (tuned by I-Speed USA)
- Slightly heatsoaked TMIC also
- 440cc injectors, Walbro fuel pump

Only can imagine what 12 PSI and a 3" exhaust will do.
