Default BRAvo! A Bra Recycling Event!

Hey everyone just wanted to spread the word about a unique way to give back to your community that my company (day job) is currently hosting.
Please Read Below for more info. If you have a donation, send me a PM with your e-mail address and I can forward you the form that you need to fill out to be entered into the contests.

Quote:
You heard us right, OmniMount is collecting bras for a cause! For the entire month of May 2010, OmniMount will be collecting bras to donate to The Bra Recyclers, an organization that recycles undergarments for re-use in order to provide them to deserving women in the community. The event will kick off on Friday, April 30, with the unveiling of the custom-built and hand-painted Bra House, a donation center that will be stationed outside the OmniMount headquarters, and we’re going to need everyone’s help to fill it up!
We’ve set the bar high
We’ve set a goal to collect 1,000 bras and hope to surpass it.
To donate your bra:
1. Wash it. All donated bras MUST be washed.
2. Tag it. Fill out the donation form below. You only need to submit (1) form with your bra donations.
Please summarize the total quantity by size for easier processing.
3. Bag it. Place your bras in a bag or large envelope.
4. Drop it off at the OmniMount Bra House or send it to:
Make your donation by filling out a donation form (attached) and dropping off your bras at the Bra House (in OmniMount’s parking lot) or mailing your garments to:
OmniMount
c/o The BRAvo Event
8201 S. 48th St.
Phoenix, AZ 85044
Don’t have a bra to donate? As little as 5 dollars buys a new bra at discount stores such as Ross, Marshalls or TJ Maxx. You can also help by spreading the news. Pass this along to family, friends, neighbors, children’s schools, sports teams/clubs, local companies, churches – anyone you can think of who might want to get involved. Attached is a double-sided flyer that can be printed and distributed.
And it wouldn’t be an OmniMount event without prizes...
As a thank you for your participation, you will also be entered to win prizes. For every bra you donate, your name will automatically be entered into one of four drawings to win a $50 Victoria's Secret gift card. The drawings will be held weekly and the more you donate the better your chances are to win. At the close of the event, all entries will be added to a grand prize drawing, where one bra recycler will win a flat panel TV and OmniMount mount of their choice!
Thank you in advance for joining OmniMount and The Bra Recyclers in our effort to support local women, give back to the community and put a unique spin on recycling.
Thanks!

The Jason A. Struble Memorial Cancer Fund - Free Testicular Cancer awareness video, pamphlets, and shower cards available!
Friends-4-Cures - Donations to this organization are used to fund germ cell tumor research at Indiana University.
The Orchid Cancer Appeal - A UK charity that funds research into diagnosis, prevention and treatment of prostate and testicular cancer as well as promoting awareness of these previously neglected diseases
Everyman - A UK charity that raises awareness and funds vital research for prostate and testicular cancer
The Bob Champion Cancer Trust
The Sean Kimerling Testicular Cancer Foundation
The Matthew Cranman Foundation
Costa's Cure

And for those of you who still have hair... St Baldrick's Charity raises donations and awareness for childrens cancer. You can tell them you don't want your money going to any of the girls if you feel that strongly about it.

well, you don't have to give money. I mean, swiping a bra or two from the dresser drawer of a one night stand isn't asking too much is it? Really though, if you're not interested in helping, then no worries. I'm not forcing anyone.

No worries, I didn't think you would. Although, labeling men as second class citizens may be a tough sell particularly if you ask some of the women that live in Afghanistan what they think about it. Just thought I would note a few of the "non women" charities out there. Not trying to start a flame war or anything. Stay safe over there.

i think he was referring to second class citizens in the united states. or at least thats what i got out of it. PLUS i dont think women wear bras in the Stan anyways.

at work HR stands for Her Representation.... not human resources
