Default Thule Roof Rack Install?

So a full Thule roof rack with two bike carriers popped up at the local thrift store, the only thing is, is that I cannot mount it! I've tried for so long but I've never gotten it on. The feet are the kind one big rubber pad and a rubber coated hook that is supposed to fit under some weather stripping. You use the Key to tighten them, but my problem is the are never tight enough because there is never enough space for that hook thing to fit under the weather stripping. How does anyone else do it? Thanks!

Go to their website and download the installation instructions. I know I have got them online before. Only other thing it could be is that they have different pillars/feet than the ones you need...

It hooks under the window sill, it couldn't really be simpler.... put the pads down, then hook to the sill, then use those screw things to tighten the bars down, then the lock/cover and you're set.

Don't tighten either side all the way, go about half each, then tighten them staggered so the tension is even on both sides. You don't even need any tools it's cake my man, should take you 5 mins!

GL hope that helps!

if you purchased it from the thrift shop then it was probably set up for a different car.

it sounds like you have 400 towers. those rubber pads and clips that go in the door jam are specific to each make and model of car. there is about 5000 different version of those clips. go online to thuleracks.com or rackattack.com or whatever and do a 'fit your vehicle' search. this will tell you what clips you need. go buy them, follow the instructions on the measurements and it will fit right on there.

good luck!

It does get snug when put under the window sill, but then the window clips the hook whenever opened and closed. Unless that it supposed to happen? I'll get pictures tomorrow!
