Not dangerous just one needs to be mindful that when you modify anything that effects how it rolls stops or turns you need to really get a good understanding for how its going to change those characteristics and to be prepared to change driving style/habits to accommodate. I love my Brembo's they are a so much better than stock the only draw back is the hurt they put on the old wallet.

Its about brake balance. Your Proportioning valve is set to match the calipers you have to set the brake bias between front and rear to match what factory engineers felt was the most appropriate/safe etc.

Different calipers with different pistons require different flow rates from the master cylinder, and different proportioning to keep the balance settled.

For example if your going around a turn and a deer jumps out in front of you you slam on your brakes. A front heavy bais will make your front end lockup and you will straight line plow, a rear heavy bais will have the same effect as pulling your ebrake, and your ass end will come around on you. ABS stops most of this, because you cant lock up, but if they are evenly matched to the same pedal depth you will stop much faster.

If you change calipers, you change this balance. This is what people refer to. You think your increasing your braking power, really your just putting more braking power to one set earlier in the pedal, and the other set is not matched. So one set trips the ABS and the other is only at 3/4 of its actual stopping power.

Either used matched calipers, or go get an adjustable proportioning valve and spend a few hours/days at a track setting up an optimal balance.

Anything else is just for looks.

Honestly a good set of rotors and a good set of pads are all you need, unless you are racing.

The 06/07 calipers offer more precision, the stopping power is always limited by the tires. Generally what people notice is increased initial bite, as they generally put on really good pads at the same time.

Go buy a set of stoptech pads, turn your rotors, and enjoy.

Took a few extra days to spray them because of the rain.

Thanks guys. Same.
I usually just do what makes me happy but I'm just torn on them.
Plan is to fab up a bracket that will allow me to throw them on and off quickly(but securely) without removing the fogs. So I can switch it up whenever I want, in minutes.

for those who were curious, haha , the extension sits on top of a cobb short throw, which i have set at very short, so the throw of my extension is actually tighter than a stock 6mt.
