Mike and babyrex....thanks for the opinions...the wheels are currently flat black right now. Im bringing the whole car back to wrb and no more cf after that unless its on the interior but even then I probably wont lol.

Once again IMOs are like ***holes
Thanks Autoprue. Where do I start...well for one I agree it the hood scoop doesn't flow as well with the car than say a jdm would. That said, the jdm is growing on me but still hasn't pushed me to get it yet. Now that I want to ditch all the cf stuff or at least paint it, I am going to have to get a new hood, which unless i get a good deal on nice hood and a jdm scoop it will have to stay for now. One thing I really love the big scoop for is the amount of air flow i get to my PW tmic. I would never go back to a stock scoop due to this and also just because they are just too small for my likings. I do like the 04-05 wrx scoop on the bugeye like Con10der has on his car...i think that one looks really good on his bug. But that will have to hold off until i get my wingless trunk first and painted side skirts. I can't pull off wingless until the bottom of the car is done, otherwise (to me) it will just look stock and after 9 years of having this car, stock it not an option. I went wingless years ago before it became this popular but like I said without skirts painted, rear spats and a front lip it just doesn't look right to me. I probably will go with a jdm or an 04 and see if it grows on me. As far as the wheels, I don't like silver but I do like bronze so that is definitely an option. I want them to stand out somewhat so I may be doing a custom color scheme on them.

IMO's are like ***holes, but they also get you thinking outside the box sometimes. Like I always say I don't want it to look exactly like everyone else's bug so I take bits and pieces that I like and incorporate them into what fits my style. Hence, the wingless trunk and the reason I would still have my winged trunk to swap between. Most guys like the v1 or v2 front lips....I personally don't like them, I'd go with a Greddy first but hey thats just me.

Thanks, this I will have to look into next time I go to walmart I never thought about copper and the more I think about it, the more I like the sound of it. Maybe black spokes on the face and copper on the entire inside. I was thinking this same scheme with black spokes and blue or orange on the inside of the rims.

And a pic just for the hell of it

Has anyone modded the rear OEM strakes to fit the front as well? Or the boxy fronts to fit the rear?

Since I cant afford to play racecar with my WRX, does anyone know of an RC Car company that makes a bugeye body? Tamiya has the Hawkeye and the current body style, but those arent anywhere near as sexy...

The full size car is Robert Champion Racing's ECS Performance Rallycross WRX. 04 STi motor, version 5 RA-R DCCD 5speed, GT2871r restricted to 45mm, rear mounted radiator, driver's position shifted back 18", Standard Suspension ENR55 rally coilovers, lexan all around.

The RC car is a visual replica of the full size car. Not 100%, but pretty close.

If you've already got a chassis you can go with this body from HPI -EDIT: Here's the same thing but $10 cheaper - http://www.ebay.com/itm/HPI-Racing-I...item2ec33f5d4b

I have that and a Tamiya bugeye (and a Tamiya hawkeye and an HPI blobeye..) and IMO, the Tamiya bodies are the best looking. But they usually cost at least twice as much as the HPI versions, which are still fun and close enough I'll grab a quick pic of the lineup when I get home from work so you can compare the Tamiya vs HPI bugeye.

Correct DARTHALAL,Tamiya is the best out there in terms of body detail next to Kyosho. $28.00 is a steal for that set as it is discontinued. The reason Tamiya has such great detail is because they use large scale molds of their glue together model kits and they also mold in three pieces unlike HPI who mold in one single piece. The only thing I hate about Tamiya bodies is that they look so good after you finish them you never want to run them on the street.
