Alright, so, I will have about $700 extra after Christmas this year... And I want to buy something for my at, because I haven't bought anything for my car in about 6 months.

The only mods I have are...
-3in turbo back
-Rallyarmour mudflaps
-koji mod headlights
-Black Plasti-Dipped wheels
-Black Side markers.
-JNA lip

Any suggestions?

I'm thinking JDM sti grill, STI spoiler, lowering springs, and a Roof vane... However I may only be able to swing 2 of those. So if that's the case... I'm thinking either....

Roof vane and grill
Roof Vane and Springs
Springs and Grill
Roof Vane and STI wing
STI wing And Grill
STI wing and Springs

I'm Leaning most toward the Springs and Roof Vane, just because it'll give me an aggressive look. In a close second is Roof Vane and Grill.

Hi all,
Long time reader from Australia figured I'd sign up and share my ride

Pic of when I first got it.
2002 STI with some light mods ~ 220kw atw

(only pick I have of engine bay, intercooler hosing was insufficiently tightened and blew off)

Mods are:
Haltech platinum interceptor
APS front mount intercooler
APS 3” turbo back high flow exhaust system, with Magnaflow rear muffler
APS cold air induction, K&N filter element
Mantic heavy duty clutch
Xforce stainless steel up-pipe
Pedders coil over suspension
Sard 500HP in tank fuel pump
Upgraded turbo – VF35 ( I think, will have to check exact turbo model)

It is the first car I've bought/owned myself and in the 6months I've had it I have done little except add red rallyarmor mudflaps and a rebuilt 50000km 06 JDM STI gearbox with DCCD as the original box decided to die (3rd gear went)
I would love to get some prodrive wheels and bits on it but I don't know if I will be able to afford/find parts but I definitely love driving it and taking it to the track. I'm really in love with the car and wrx enthusiast community in general, a lot of great people and fun to be involved with.

reading your guys MPG is kinda upsetting

with my UP/DP 3" turbo back setup on a protune from HB Speed
the BEST I can get is 24mpg (local/freeway). Even just freeway the best
is 24mpg.

Either SoCal gas suck (most likely) or my car is just a pig.
I rarely go over 70mph too

Ditch the idea of springs, save a couple of extra dollars, and get coilovers.

You're welcome.

Better yet. Ditch the cheap coilovers and find a set of 2002 STI Spec C take offs with springs. Trust me you will not regret it.

I vote no to sti wing either keep the wrx one or go wingless. I find the sti wing looks a bit funny on our cars, and I believe you'd need to have it paint matched (I could be wrong) as my friend had a 02 silver with a 05 sti trunk/wing on his car and you could clearly see a difference in color, which added to the awkwardness of it. Just my 2 cents though

I'd vote doing lowering springs and saving up for some new wheels down the road with the money left over, or doing what some others said going with coil overs.

For local driving 24 sounds incredible, if those local roads are the same as here like 25-40mph roads, but for the high way that does sound a little low.

What injectors do you run? stock? This is my second bugeye my first one had similar mods minus a few things here and there on sti pink injectors making like 250whp and wrx 5 speed I used to get like 19 local, 30 was my best high way. This one has sti trans and 1000cc injectors making just over 300whp and like I said I've been averaging around 16mpg locally, and I haven't done a good high way drive to see what it is doing there but I wouldn't be surprised if it is down around 24-25mpgs.

Could be tune related as well.

I had the STi pinks suspension setup and got really tired of the common rear end knock, so I upgraded to 32 way adjustable coilovers with pillow ball mounts.
On a side note, I was looking at the price for STi springs online and found this gem.

$459.99

STI Pink Springs Subaru WRX 02-03

STI Springs from Japan are designed to be used with your 0203 WRX only They drop the car 10 inch front and rear and provide a more aggressive ride ...

lolol favorite part "10 inch" not inches but inch, to good. I am running sti struts with eibach lowering springs vs my last wrx on stock struts and eibach lowering springs the stance is a lot nicer and I feel it handles a good deal better as well.

It's not that funny, whoever posted what you found just copy/pasted the description and the punctuation got stripped. Here's what it actually says when you follow the link:

Though that price is outrageous..

Anyway, just finished hacking the honeycomb out of my grille and replacing it with black mesh:

I left the side pieces because it was starting to get pretty wobbly without the support of the honeycomb and didn't want to snap it after getting so close to the end, haha. I still think it looks pretty cool, and better than the original, though.
