A good quality coilover or spring damper setup can be a little more flush while keeping or improving the suspension performance.

You can also adjust the rake of the car to avoid the nose diving under braking, and suit your driving style.

I think the problem is, so many people assume "needs to be lower" means "slam that thing". I have mine pretty flush with maybe a inch gap in the front.

You're making 70 more WHP than I am on a similar setup. Aftermarket downpipe? Moar boost? Dyno Dynamics?

yeah aftermarket downpipe i forgot which one, i think it was megan (i am fully catless) . Boost wise, i was boosting at 16, and peaked at 20. And it was Dyno'd on a Dynapack.

i think we fit a STI fitment downpipe on there, since my WRX bellmouth Invidia wouldn't fit.

Serious question: Could someone please explain to me everybody's fascination with Plasti-Dip? I have seen it person and I'm sorry, it just looks terrible.

Interesting. Every aftermarket twin scroll downpipe I've managed to find is STUPID expensive.

See if they have another?

It might have been a single scroll Megan that had the twins roll flange (IAG?) put on it. That's one of the cheapest options.

Personal preference is what it comes down to, and for approx. $5 a can, it is fairly cheap to do.

Think more old school.

Prodrive remapping and performance mods.

The bring peak boost in WAY early and let it taper.

19.1 psi by 2650 rpm tapers to ~ 17 by redline. Gives a very flat usable powerband curve. Hits like a hammer.

That explains it. Because it looks like it cost $5.00 a can.

Side note, figured I'd ask the fellow bugeye owners...anyone have a Wagon lip they are getting rid of?

Also, if I'm looking for a slightly larger hood scoop, whats the best to go with?

^^^ Yeah screw all the other nonsense either try to get a replica, and not the one that is 4 inches tall it looks retarded (I made that mistake the first time around), get one that is actually a replica of the real thing...or get lucky and find someone selling theirs. A lot of guys want over 200 dollars for this hood scoop so if you're not looking to drop money it could take a while to come across the right deal. I found mine on ebay, legit sti hood scoop sold be a individual not vendor, and managed to pick it up for I believe 140 including shipping (I forget this was almost a year ago now) but it took me like 4-5 months of constant searching to find the right deal.

There is one company on ebay that sells a accurate replica but there is constant bidding wars...So a lot of times it ends up shooting over 200 dollars but every once in a while I've seen them sell for low 100's. I'd set a max price in your mind and keep trying that and eventually you'll get your hands on one for a reasonable price. I personally don't find a hood scoop worth near 250 dollars so that's why I went the route of taking my time searching was in no real rush. If you really want it though and you don't really have a price limit then it shouldn't be to hard at all to get your hands on one.
