I don't own it, but I assume the splitter is made to be used with the stock wrx scoop? Even if it was made for the JDM sti scoop, you have it, so I wouldn't be too worried.

I don't think they'd make you buy an aftermarket scoop to use their products.

Sweet, I cracked my replica V-limited lip on an unfortunately mandatory drive to Richmond during the snowstorm... thank god it was a clean break and can fix easily

Yeah they only make a splitter for the USDM scoop. What do you think about function with the JDM scoop? I'm assuming no change as far as the IC goes since the splitter fits nice and tight on it. So right that it actually lifts the corner of my scoop a few mm off my hood.

Right, so worst case scenario, you install your JDM scoop and you get the same amount of airflow as the USDM scoop provided. The JDM scoop is over 1/3 taller in height, so it should force more air through the intercooler.

This is your splitter, correct?

Yeah that's the one. That's what I thought. I can't think of any scenario where it would be detrimental???

Maybe if you were using a JDM scoop with the stock splitter, the turbulence from the air hitting the misplaced splitter (only being 1/2 way up in the scoop) might make for less airflow. I think I remember someone mentioning this before.

I have a JDM scoop with stock splitter and IC, haven't modified the splitter at all but when I go for a spirited drive and feel the IC, it's cold to the touch. Then again I am in Canada and it's winter.
