Nice. Takata's are next on my list. I want another seat of seats as well but sadly I'm too fat for anything JDM. Lol So I will have to stick to my Corbeau's.

Hmmmm. I don't see how the taller splitter could cause any sort of effective turbulence as they sit in the same plane vertically. What I really want to know is if the lower scoop actually feeds more air into the splitter, or of it's really just the splitter that does the vast majority of the air direction. What I really need is a picture of a bug with a splitter with no scoop on.

I was referring to the stock wrx splitter only extending like half way up into the JDM scoop. Incoming air will become turbulent because it's getting trapped in the gap between splitter and scoop, I believe the turbulence may decrease the actual airflow through the intercooler.

Sorry, kind of hard to explain. But here's the gap I am talking about:

The process west splitter doesn't look like it extends as high as the stock one, so maybe it relies more on the actual scoop to direct air? Maybe I'm completely wrong here.

Sorry to just jump in out of nowhere, thought I'd throw in my two cents. I believe the idea of the splitter is to direct the air over the intercooler more evenly and also prevent it from going over the top of the TMIC. The reason for the taller splitter in the JDM scoop is to direct the air more evenly over a larger TMIC I think. I also think the JDM splitter has a larger opening over the intercooler. The process west would probably be similar as its made for their larger intercooler.
I have a Zero/Sports splitter for the JDM scoop which uses the scoop and the splitter itself to direct air.

Here are some pics, I hope some of this helps

You can see only two splitter fins on this except there are three openings, it allows for a larger opening over the intercooler.

This you can see how the splitter uses the scoop to direct air along with the splitter.

I have the PW TMIC and splitter. I also have the JDM STI scoop and splitter.

The PW splitter is for the stock USDM scoop, not the JDM scoop. Kevin at PW says to use the JDM STI splitter if you have the JDM STI scoop. The JDM splitter doesn't completely cover the PW intercooler, but it's close.

I figure I'll go with what Kevin says. Flatiron has the JDM scoop, splitter and gasket. Rallispec imports all three and has a few other splitters.

The PW splitter has holes for three spray nozzles. the JDM kit with gasket has one hole. The splitter is aluminum. There's also a JDM STI splitter that has two holes, it's made of steel.

Vacation lol, been going to Florida for ages, but I've never actually driven over it, just seen it from a distance. So I figured, hey that fishing pier/bridge looks like a good location for a photo op.

Thanks man Glad to be able to hold it down for you guys but could never have done it without help from the Bugeye friends I've made over the last few years.

Changes are coming... trying to do a few things before Summer hits.
