I saw Smurf a few pages back reversed the sun shield above the rearview mirror and it made so much sense since it suck in the stock location. What a difference a 2 minute mod made to my morning drive to work.

When you take it off you'll notice a tab you have to break off in order for it to fit in reverse.

I only looks a little weird when it's closed, but the benefit totally outweighs the drawback.

I'm genuinely surprised nobody has heard of doing this before.... this is an old mod (at least 9 years old)!

I did that mod 10+ years ago...


Only problem, with an orange bugeye, or rather YOUR orange bugeye AutoPrue, is that it is not mine :-(

It's not a sunshade. It's so the map lights don't glare off the wind shield/ rear view mirror. Which is funny because in most states it is illegal to drive with any interior lights on. So I guess really it should have come that way for the USDM, right?

This makes sense but my car did not have the map light and it still had the so called "sunshade."

What kind of shop did you guys take it to for install? Just a body shop you REALLY trust?

I installed my roof vent myself. I think its kind of one of those things you should experience on your own. The vent has to be earned!!
