It looks like I need to modify my intake in order to fit the hood vent. The silver sticks up too high and interferes with the body of the vent

I know you have a front mount, but I'm curious to know if the WRC vent the same negative (airflow disrupting) effects to a TMIC that the bug-flector and bra do...

I got the vent because it gets rid of static pressure build up under the hood. In the WRC cars they run a v mount setup with this hood vent. I know I won't get that kind of benefit lol

I plan on running a v mount in the future but this hood was already messed up so I figured what would be the harm in testing the vent.

Its not quite THAT bad. I attacked that car with a cutoff wheel and also cut things that normally wouldnt need to be cut because I wanted it done as quickly as possible.

But yeah, your car will look something like that when the quarter is cut out.

On average its 25-30 hours of labor per side, plus paint. The sheet metal quarter panels is $600ish a side if you buy new ones.

To fix my rusty 1/4 this will show you the amount of material taken off the car.

Grinding it down to see the extent of damage/rust:

How much was removed to be spliced back in:

End result you could never tell that the car ever had an issue to begin with:

Actually that 1/4 is now part hawkeye lol!

Must be a NESIC thing - my rear 3/4 looks like the finished result above... makes me want to go downstairs right now and check if there's hidden rust I'm not seeing !

Yeah the northeast area is funny we get to have all that fun in the snow but it kills our cars.. sadly my rex will never see snow and ice again but its for the better.

This is exactly what was done with my car. My quarters were part numbers for the 05 STI.

Alright, haven't posted these in any for sale section yet, but I have authentic JDM WRB rear bumper spats with hardware available. I honestly like my EGR rear lip better, so these get to go. I'll put up pics in a bit, or PM me if you want em

Well I got my coil overs in. However the rear end won't spin to drop it. It's stuck. Is there something tricky with rear coil overs? The front spun just find and lowered.

Are these lights DIY? Looks good! If so, what paint did you use?

Painting the light housings is a DIY project. I believe there is a FAQ or writeup somewhere on this board with a great explanation on what is involved.
