That one does look great. I would definitely get that one, they always make bugeyes look good

Concur with others - the gigantic 04/05 scoop looks horribly out of proportion on Bugeyes. Save up for a real or replica

Rally Sport has the real Subaru scoop for like $250ish. No crazy over seas shipping, just needs paint. Not cheap, but not bad for the real thing.

I bought my JDM scoop from Japan. Comes factory painted and I'm not afraid of shipping charges. That's a norm for me. Gotta pay to play.

Unfortunately not =\ if you fly in the opposite direction from the continental US it's faster to Japan though

Any tips/tricks on how to beat a Kraken? I am trying to get my hands on a legit S202 wing.

Would a legit V8 Spec C wing work?

A wing doesn't make a car. I'm just saying. A nice wing can change the styling. A functional wing will add to driving experience.

Not disagreeing with you, but this is also true:

A part doesn't make a car. A nice part can change the styling. A functional part will add to driving experience.

This car scene has changed so much that I feel that sometimes friendly reminders like this are needed to put things in perspective a little. It's not necessarily for the person that posted the previous comment but rather the group as a whole. My bugeye will be with me for many more years Into classic status and beyond. I'd like those that will be around during those times beyond our present years to know why Bugeyes are still around. It isn't just a wing, headlights or any real exterior (non-internal) modification. It's the group, it's the knowledge, it's the love.

Function will always have its place just like form will also have its place.

Nowadays a car that appears to "look good" is more sought after than ones that actually are good and run good too. Just want to put the obvious out there for...

Additional perspective

And then some of us buy Bugeyes that neither looked good nor ran good, (because we didn't know any better) and getting them back to respectable in either aspect is proving to be very difficult... and some people scoff
"why don't you just get rid of it and buy a different one??"
Because I REFUSE to leave something in as bad of shape as my bugeye was (Read: still is ). Because I WILL bring my car back to the respectable status that the Bugeye deserves. I WILL have the car that everyone wants to have when they see it. And most importantly I will NOT build my car to or for someone else's ideals.
/rant. sorry, car has been down for 2+ months while I tried to figure out what was wrong with it. brought it out today and it showed totally different problems than when it went into the garage...

It's identical, except the S202 Wing has the letters "STi" woven into the bottom of the wing, and the Spec C just has "STi" on the pedistal.

Aaaand... Topic change-

I was at the Spokes autocross at Bastrop stadium today-

Got beat by Josh in his stock Mazda 2... I feel ashamed for making my car look bad lol
