What about the block? I think that's the whole point of doing the 207 swap. You could sleeve the cylinders. That would help combat the warping issue that plagues high hp 205's. Still kind of a band aid though.

I'm not going with extreme power though, only looking for 320. If I bump up the power in the future I will be going with a semi-closed deck, either 207 or 257.

SixStarSpeed has a few good write ups on their website, "Subaru myth busting" is a good read.

It's mainly the heads, then the block (for a v7; being forged pistons stock) then turbo (v7/v8/v9).

Was my point in reading that to stay away from a hybrid build because of head differences? I would like a 207 build but it's the money involved, and with more then one project right now and going to college, money is an issue at the moment which is the reason why I'm building a 205.

I believe it to be true that I won't want more power, I had a 480whp FD rx7 a couple months ago and it was ridiculous! I see no need for a car to have that much power for daily driving with the occasional autocross or track day. For this reason I chose a decent setup to put down 320awhp. It's enough to have fun with and be competitive against the mustangs and stuff at autocross

Here's only a side shot

got the rear bumper mocked up with the diffuser. it's like an inch lower and a few inches less longer. makes my exhaust look even more extreme.
Need's more finesse and i gotta work with the Tailight section a little more

Yeah that and the fact that "all ej engines have forged internals". 205's DO NOT have cast pistons! :-)

this is very weird. i don't plan on giving up but i do have a time frame to resolve the issues. need to be ready and running tip top shape by early july because I have AMS tuning my car

again... i've NEVER had issues like this before.
Edit: Now that I have caught up, I can see that it's definitely not a bad MAF... although wonder if it could be a faulty MAF isn't plug. Hell... really scraping the bottom if the barrell on this one... hopefully it's just a coil pack since those going bad don't always throw codes.

My B. Blind as a bat! lol

Who's doing the tune? Cobb has no OTS support for a 3port EBCS.

Haha it's ok.
And it's hopefully going to be done by Nuke at NF Performance. Like I said they tuned/(I believe)built xluben's WRX. But they are super busy right now I guess. So I'm not sure how available he will be for e-tune revisions... So maybe I will get a few revisions then drive to him for a road tune...
