Wiring and build quality on these aftermarket fans are no where near as reliable or robust as OEM. It's cheap and built at a price point where OEM can't really have a fleet of vehicles recalled due to faulty fan wiring. At least at the mishimoto level.

Over cooling doesn't happen from a rad or rad fan or shroud upgrade. All they do is bring you into operating ranges, faster if you get over them, a bit slower if you are under them.

And it's a wash if you still have your ac condenser installed

The day before thanksgiving she was hit by someone that ran a stop sign.

The impact rotated the car a full 90 degrees so im thinking he hit me at about 35-40 mph ... the door, C pillar, under pan of the trunk, rear deck and gas tank are all damaged severely.

Buy it back from insurance and reshell that thing! There are so many cheap bugeye shells popping up on craigslist nowadays. I'm sure you'll be able to find something.

A/C Condenser is probably coming out, hasn't worked in a few year and I keep thinking about fixing it but haven't.

I'd have to think the Mishimoto would be fairly reliable with the warranty they offer and considering there are not a lot of options out there for this car and I haven't found any complaint thread they might not be that bad, who knows though maybe I'll be the first to find out.

I realize OEM is built to be reliable but it also is designed to be cheap to produce and in most cases to fit as many applications as possible to save money. Also the best performance is not always in mind. Honestly the fans are 11 years old now, I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't working at 100% anymore or if they just quit working soon.

Thanks for the info, I was told to always just stick with an OEM thermostat so I don't think I will have an issue there.

^ i wanted to remove the a/c condenser as well. I couldn't find a good enough write up to comfortably do it. I wanted to keep my power steering at least, so removing all of it wasn't in mind.

Not sure what you mean about the power steering but I literally just took it out, took twenty minutes and I didn't even have to disconnect the radiator just unbolted it. Car was on the ground, it is really easy!

Might as well my TMIC rubbed a hole in my line which is why it hasn't worked in a while.
And why is your intercooler crooked? I've been wondering that for a while now.

Yeah, it's very easy and has nothing to do with power steering. It's on its own belt so nothing needs to change there.

And if you have a bad leak and the system is already de-pressurized then there really isn't anything to it at all. Just unbolt stuff.

The large TMIC is a tight fit and with the new turbo it is clocked a bit. I think if I trimmed the silicone Y-pipe hose it could be straightened a little.

Yeah I know what you mean about tight fits, they can be a real pain in the ass sometimes.

This is from a while ago but its pretty much the same

I always thought the A/c and power steering ran off the same belt. If not, then hell yeah I'll remove it all. It hasn't worked since I bought the car. Just take all the hard lines out and plug the hole in the firewall?

Looks like that tmic has an adjustment bracket on the driver's side. Can slide it down and tighten it, easy does it. Those things are huge.

Just FYI the condenser is the heat exchanger in front of the radiator, the compressor is the belt driven unit.
