I have the same issue. And when I start off in first if I don't have high enough rpm it will violently shake the entire car

damn man thats rough, a similar thing happened to me last winter except the wheel didn't fold in like that on my car it just caused some other issues that weren't obvious at first and progressively got worse over time.

They are XXR 522 18x8.5 +48 on Falken Ziex 512 225/40/18. The wheels would sit flush on your wagons narrow body. It will definitely look good!

The whirring sound is from the lightened fly wheel. "The engine acclerates slightly at every cylinder firing. The heavier the flywheel, the more this is damped out. THe vibration gets into the gear/bearing/thrustplate lash in the tranny and any loose stuff in the pressure plate, and makes the noise."

i was told when i had my tranny worked on not to put a lighter flywheel on cause the subaru transmission is based on the durability of the flywheel and and it being able to hold the power

Yeah, the OEM ones from subarugenuineparts.com are kind of pricey, plus I have all the wiring already, just need new lamps. Most of the higher quality OEM replica fogs I have seen on ebay are made by Depo, what about yours?
