you get taxed higher. that's pretty much the only reason we get cheaper gas, there's not that much of a difference in the market demand. the flipside of that coin is that your government gets and does things with that money... sure your gas prices are higher.

your roads are also safer and public services better because of road tax.

our taxes may be less for gas, but they're not low across the board and we don't have money to do the things we need to do, because so much of it goes to defense, and to putting minorities in jail and having politicians gridlock each other. damn straight it's 'not fair.'

Probably right about that one. But hopefully adding some more things to make it work with the car. It's a slow process as the funds become available lol. Performance mods came first for me though.

I so want to live over there (my 1st car cost 30 to fill, it was a Ford Ka 1.3. An excellent car just under-powered)

well put the fogs (excuse the terrible photos I took them on works camera and had to use my finger to block the sun)

Your quite correct the tax on fuel is very high and having visited the US I know everything isnt cheap, food for instance is expensive. But the fuel prices do heavily affect the cost of everything else.

Not to mention the cost of Insurance (730), road tax (200+) then depreciation (dread to think). These are only my outgoings before fuel, servicing, etc. And trust me the roads here are pretty terrible in many places with potholes (verging on canyons), raised drain covers, road works (we'll not go down that one), confusing road signs and thats just name a few.

But do you know after these large expenses and irritations, I still wouldnt get rid of the WRX

If I remember the handbook correctly? There should be 6L(10%) left when the light comes on. But on occasion I've had my light on and only been able to put in 47-50L.
