I have come up with a good solution although a little pricey. Take this thing http://www.importimageracing.com/kst..._store=default and cut the center out. Drill some holes to bolt the scoop to it after a paint match. Thoughts?

I think the little lip that sticks a bit further is the only thing I dont like about the 04 wrx scoop. There was a write up that I saved that cuts it back a little bit and it looks 10x better. But basically it's all personal preference.

It is a personal opinion, and I think it depends on what other mods you have. I have a buddy who DOES NOT have a WRX, and LOVES the way it looks compared to the JDM one. To each his own... That is why all mod differently

I am selling mine for cheap, and it is in good condition too. Pm me if interested.

honestly the STI scoop is horrendously large, at angles it looks nice but imo people need to leave it on the 04-05 models. Mainly bc of the design of the front on the blobeyes it actually flows better. The wrx scoop on the other hand seemingly is a better in between. IMO...

thanks I've had both the prodrive by alcon brakes and stoptechs, that being said the prodrives are amazing and offer slightly better modulation and are lighter (caliper). But the stoptechs have a two piece rotor, and are setup to work with the factory brake system; I'd assume the alcons are as well as they were offered as an option on the wrx overseas but cannot say for sure. Also replacement parts (pads/rotors/rebuilds) are much cheaper for stoptechs, which is why I may throw those back on and save the alcons/ds2500s for the track...
