My dad said maybe on of the teeth either on the starter or flywheel is bad and it is only making a noise when it is hitting that tooth or something? any insight?

My subie is slowly but surely dying on me may be time to do a sti motor swap on her if only I had the cash! :'(
Is it a screech or a free spin? I don't think a bad tooth or missing tooth on either would create a screech. For better luck, maybe hit the 2.0 threads?

It's the bendix on the starter going bad. replace the starter now or the starter/flywheel later

Pencils... assuming you took that photo and you uploaded it to a site that implies or expresses copyright or CC rights reserved, like flickr... BEFORE you uploaded it anywhere else, and really no matter what you did in uploading it or sharing it... when it comes down to the principle of the matter...

they can't use the photo for ads without your permission and in this case they're infringing your IP and the implicit copyright.

companies must pay for the use of a photo. in this case, they're using it to be an ad on facebook and even though it's only a small little thumbnail, it's probably being viewed by thousands of people, if not hundreds of thousands. that, in the way business used to be done with photos, is worth a lot in usage rights and a photographer would have charged a company lots of money for those rights before they decided to use it.

however now that stock photography is big and people so freely upload their photos to publish everywhere, a lot of bastards don't approach photographers and just steal photos like this because they were taught it is 'common domain' which, well... it's not. however, if you uploaded the picture to facebook facebook might have sold it to the ad company and facebook is going to be very hard to win a legal case against, especially in a case like this where it's just a waste of everyone's time. they made money off of your efforts and i don't think that you can win in court if you didn't originally publish the photo with a "copyright ME" tag on it.

winning in court will be extra hard if you uploaded that picture to a thousand sites and didn't publish it with any copyright notice like flickr does with all of their uploads.

because at the end of the day it's just a ****ty snapshot of your car and it will be hard to prove that you were the one who was there taking that picture. it looks like it could just as easily been anyone walking around a car show. you'd have to prove that you took the photo, you'd have to prove you didn't give the rights away but uploading it freely onto someone else's servers, and you'd have to prove that they damaged your income, wellbeing, or rights that you could then be relieved of.

since i'm assuming you're not a photographer, and i'm assuming you uploaded it freely onto someone else's server and shared it freely without any copyright notices anywhere, this ad is going to get away with stealing photos, and putting people like me out of a job.
I did take the photo myself. It was taken on my DSLR at my friend's dealership after hours while working on my car to first fit my wheels. It was uploaded on flickr first, then i uploaded it to facebook. that picture itself is still on my facebook.

funny that they tried to photoshop out my roofrack out

Yeah, Bellingham winters aren't as bad, but still... do I really need a RWD 2-seater?
