I was worried about it but I haven't had to do anything besides keeping them clean.

Why do people get rid of the factory BBS and "upgrade" to heavier less quality wheels

Function>Form
Because your gonna get more function from a wider wheel with a 255 or 265 on it compared to a stock bbs that might only fit 225 or 235. Your gonna have greater gains with wider rubber on the track even with a heavier wheel.

Thoes are 5x114 and 17x8 not the 5x100 17x7.5 Too much meat on the wheels will cause tire roll.

Yep, my 245's are completely square on my stockers. They'll easily fit on a 7.5 width too.

Haha yeah, I was talking about the 17x7.5 but even the 17x8 bbs are only good for 235 or max 245. 255, 265, or even wider will be way to wide for even the 17x8 and will cause tire role which you never want when tracking. Just because they fit doesn't mean that its proper fitment haha. Just like people stretching 225's on a 9.5 inch wheel.

i second that, every car has just as much potential as any car. to each their own. each car has a different style which they can make their own, which really makes the car stand out and look good. while some can pull off the wingless and sleeper-look, some prefer the sti spoiler. well played, sir.

Looks pretty cool.
So did you use an auto "scratch-fix" paint pen?
And a paint brush for the oil based?
Close ups?

car looks good, but your attempt to create a shallow DOF looks goofy, and is a distraction. Use a better camera, or don't do it at all...

i think a cell phone camera is fine, i agree with you on the blurring, but everyone should be able to play, even if camera snobs like you don't approve

(ps. i am a snob myself so don't get to bent out of shape)

I used a Sharpie paint pen, they are at most arts and craft stores but there are oil and water based, get oil because water will wash off.

This is the best picture i have at the moment

BTW your car is one of my favorites, you have done an excellent job modding it!

I was kidding around cause we weren't starting a debate.

On road where 99% of these things are wider tire + heavier wheel = less gas milage & slower performance. Take of 16lb bbs put on 22lb rota ... adding 24lbs of unsprung rotating mass is not going to be overcome by a 1" gain in rubber width.

If you are really tracking your car, you swap when you get to the track and your running a wide lightweight racing wheel with sticky slicks or your doing it wrong.

Cant help myself... damn... I am a driver. I just don't get modding your car to perform worse.
