Its a factory A Pillar Trim piece that he molds gauges too. So therefor its not an aftermarket trim panel.

Correct, and the weight of the gauges is not terribly excessive by any means, also there is only about a 2-3inch portion of the airbag that is covered by the a-pillar trim, all of this is before the 12mm bolt. Granted none of this reasoning is fullproof but from just basic reasoning the accident would have to be really dramatic to knock this thing off that bolt, and that point I reason your will have worse problems. Obviously theres a risk, but theres always a risk, i just think this one is reasonable, at least for myself. And i am no stranger to car accidents, as a fireman I have seen a lot of them. SO hopefully in the end it all works out

end rant.

I saw this piece in this guys car at wicked big meet, its a pretty slick piece. Personally though im not a fan of obstructing the view of my gauge cluster, but for those who are against the a-pillar idea or want a more stealth look its deffinetly nice.

Lamin-X sir. I used their pre-cut kit. Fog lamps are easy to install the headlamps are another story.
