i tried opening the door all the way and holding unlock i tired disconnecting the battery for a minute i don't know what to do but the lights wont flash now when i lock and unlock the car.. the only thing i think is holding it back is that i don't have the genuine key fob that came with the car i dont know if that's why i cant get it out of valet mode but does anyone know any other way to get it out of valet mode? and i also tried disconnecting the actual alarm. And it is the oem factory alarm

Alright, well I'm sure you can call a dealer and see what they have to say, it is probably something silly like holding two buttons in at the same time. I use a Compustar alarm system so unfortunately I am no longer any help to you. Good Luck!

sounds like it's time to rip it out and buy a new one!!! Get a nice compustar remote if you have a manual, I can barely get into my car let alone someone else breaking into it.

Does the remote work at all? How is the light blinking on the dash?

Just because there is an OEM module, doesn't mean there isn't another one installed somewhere else.

The key should not be in the ignition when you try to do this.

Make sure the doors are unlocked.

if your remote is not programmed for that security system, you cant get it out of valet mode. a previous owner lost the only remote, and the system was in valet mode, so now im stuck with a sec. system in valet. there is no way to get it out of valet, short of buying a new oem security box.

your situation may be slightly different than mine. for your sake, i hope so

ok i finally figured this problem out.. for some reason my key fob.. which is the new teardrop one uses the trunk pop button to turn the valet mode on and off.... lol
