Seems to me, the Cosworth STI is equivalent to a tuned stage 2. 400bhp is around 300whp.

They don't price cars at a flat rate across currency. Yes, if you were to take your money to England, you would need that many American dollars. But if they were to offer it in the States, it would probably list somewhere around 50K.
For instance, look at cars like the Maserati Quattroportte and Ferraris/Lambos/Astons. The price doesn't match using your method. |
