well ive already decided on the kartboy endlinks and WL rear 22mm sway, thats 400. and i need to buy some track wheel for my CRX, another 400. allignment, etc, moving into a new house, buying furniture, bills. i just dont see it being a good idea now. ill just have to eat it and spend more for them at a later date when i can comfortably afford it. besides the stock struts are going ok for now.

Do they include any sort of adjustment (rear saggy ass mainly because of wagon vs sedan rear weight balance)?
I haven't read about an imbalance on the 08+ models. Same suspension parts between them both unlike the previous models.

It's because they have the exact same suspension that there can be a 'problem' because the weight bias is slightly different between the two I'm pretty sure. Which I'm guessin is why I hear some people say the hatches handle slightly better.

No, the bias is the same.....57/43. Weight is basically the same as well with same options so I see no reason the hatch would be a better handler. If anything, the higher carried weight of the hatch would give it a higher center of gravity which is a negative.

Indeed if that's the case.

Has anyone put equally equiped sedans and hatches on a scale to measure the actual poundage axle weight.

I would be VERY supprised if they were the same.

Search for "polar moment of inertia": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subaru_...010-present.29

You can follow the footnote link to discover the following:

Quote:
Subaru has been getting its butt kicked in WRC rallying of late, losing out most often to hatchbacks from Ford and Citröen. Petter Solberg, Subaru's WRC rally ace, convinced the brass at Fuji Heavy Industries that a five-door hatch was the way to go this time, citing aerodynamic benefits and "better handling."

In fact, despite sitting on the same 103.3-inch wheelbase as the new WRX sedan, the five-door's overall length is 6.5 inches less, representing a substantial reduction in polar moment of inertia, which is a big chunk of the "better handling" part of Solberg's argument.

Interesting. I really hadn't caught the length difference, just paid attention to the wheelbase and track. Nonetheless, there isn't a saggy butt condition to worry about with 08+ models.

I'm guessing it's because they are charging so much (IMO!). And he's getting the Bilsteins like me

Either that or I dorked the post up and haven't realized it yet.

i do like my Epic Engineering springs. but im keeping my car to "sporty" daily driver duty. if you want to lean to more track use, might want to look at some stiffer options

Having stock suspension intact for when rebuild time comes> hacking stock components and never being able to go back to stock= to each their own.

look into ground control coilover sleeves, you can pick your spring rates and be able to adjust a little ride height.
