Thumbs up my car finally works again!

a few months ago i bought Ryan Plum's my98 2.5 rs, and posted that it overheated days afterward. i took it to Hodges and they told me it had blown head gaskets (even though there were no indications of blown gaskets other than overheating). i assumed it was the water pump, since i had just replaced the thermastat. trusting they were right i replaced the head gaskets myself with my friend steve, and the car still overheated. so i decided to replace the water pump like i thought origionally, and it runs great now. the head gaskets were never even the problem. the good news is with the engine out i was able put in a new clutch and pressure plate.

Actually the head gaskets were not the main problem. The Water pump failed as we told you causing the headgaskets to blow. Now as you stated you changed the head gaskets drove it and it overheated. Great lovely you fixed half the problem and then the main part. BTW nothing against you Glad you were able to fix it yourself I just get a little worked up when I cant add my side Oh and I saw you on M53 ( I think ) the other day honked and waved I was in the 01 RS with Ver5 wing and cheapo morretes
