Default How long have you been driving at stage2 before you got your first tune?

My tuning got push back next week because I change my local shop to more of a reputable tuner in LA..anyways I have been driving stage 2 for a month or so and not really mashing it..But it feels like I'm driving a grenade because it wants to really go but I'm afraid of any engine explosion.

Straight from the Manifesto:

"Do I need engine management with a downpipe? For 02/03 WRX and STI users, no. For 04+ WRX users, it's pretty much a requirement as the open loop/closed loop fueling issue mandated by the EPA causes long term reliability problems with using a downpipe and no tuning. For STI users, the STI was the one exception manufacturers are allowed to have, but it's a wise move regardless as the STI and 06+ WRX users have a good chance of boost creep occuring with downpipe use. Tuning can ease this issue, but the cause/effect/cure of boost creep can be researched via this link."

It's not brave, it's safe and you'll be fine and if you don't mod your car with other parts other than whats recommended for stage 2.

bullysonwrx: I have a question, when you say Stage Two did you not purchase the parts with an AP or similar? Even an open source option should have mapping you can add now and tweak later on. You have a semi-legit reason to stress without matching tune.

If you want to PM me all of your details I would love to help further!
