Larz Anderson Auto Show

They're having the first event this Sunday, British car day. I have never been there but have wanted to for a while. Anyone been to one of the lawn events, what kind of cars could I expect to see?

i remember goin to some of these last year and it was great! for british u shud see like Aston Martin, Bentley, Lotus, Jaguar etc. and some cars from earlier years.

but r u goin to this event this sunday?

I've been going to shows at Larz Anderson for over a decade now. British car day is hit or miss. In the past there have been McLaren F1's and all sorts of Astons and Jags, it really depends on the weather. Typically there are some great classics as well (Jag 120's, Astons from the 60's, old Lotus'...etc).

Both German Car Day and Porschefest are typically good. Italian Car Day (Tutto Italiano) is a great show as well.

The museum itself has some interesting cars and overall its a great venue for a car show. I'd say it's definitely worth it.

Yea I think I might. I hope there's a McLaren f1 there. I see pics they have with an LM and normal one.

Right! But, what would Bugatti fall under? Italian? German? French?

I've been to many, many shows at Larz Anderson, but never a hint at a Bugatti. You'd probably have better luck driving 200 miles to Greenwich CT this weekend for the Greenwich Concours.

Good point, I always think of them as Italian but I suppose they really are French. I saw an EB110 last week at the Pettersen Museum, there have been a few Veyron's at Lime Rock over the last few years and they did a big release event there about five years ago. Greenwich Concours sounds like the best place.

I've always found it ironic that British cars have poor electrics that don't like to get wet, yet they come from a very wet place. I doubt they will cancel the event, but turnout will be weak. I'll be there if it is nice.

They never cancel, but you won't see anything cool. Probably just some diehard Triumph and Mini owners.

I actually went to the Brit car show and the rain never really came. No McLaren, but a few nice Aston Martin's. I actually parked near a Blue STI in the upper lot. One of you blokes?
