Anyone here have any experience using Rotella oils in their scoobies??? I've heard nothing but good things about rotella and used to use it in my track bike.

I use the 5w40 in my car. Works great. Oil pressure doesn't go to hell after I auto-x and it has good life.

Search...there's several threads actually dedicated to this oil. And yes, I use it and highly recommend it.

i switched from castrol 0w30 euro formula to shell rotella 5w40 in my 04 sti and now in my 03. both great oils but rotella is cheaper by ~$10 for 5qts and is stocked at far more b&m retailers than the castrol euro formula (which isn't difficult since autozone is the only b&m retailer i've found with it stocked). ran it year round in the 04, and i'll do the same with the 03.

I've been using it in my bike for three years. Haven't bothered in the WRX because I'm still doing the 3,750 mile changes.

Rotella is all I use, unless I'm near IAG or something and can grab some Motul. I've been using it in all 3 of my last engines

Plus 1million for Rotella 5w40. I just cracked 200k mi in my 03 WRX. Used Mobil 1 5w30 for a long while, then started to burn oil...then switched to 10w30..seemed better for a bit (may be psychological, but w/e).
Lately was burning 1 quart per 350 miles or so. Switched to Rotella and just got ~1500 hwy miles to 1 quart. So I'm real happy about the Rotella! Will continue to monitor consumption but for now looks promising. Can't explain WHY Rotella works so much better...but it does in my experience. Wish I had switched earlier. |

I just started using it in my RSTI (first oil change since I got the car) and so far so good. Inexpensive too!

I have been using for awhile. The only down side I can is that the high zinc level could damage the cat, if you still have one.

I'm waiting to get a catless uppipe in my car before I switch just in case. How is the regular Rotella T 15W-40? I thought about using it while I gut an uppipe I have at the house.

Nothing but Rotella T/Delvac 1300S/Delo 400 LE 15w-40, T6 5w-40, and T5 10w-40 here. No complaints.

I picked up a few jugs of T6 a couple months ago. Will be using it at my next oil change. I've heard very good things about it!

Me too. I did an exhaustive oil search on the forums a few weeks ago as I couldn't justify spending the money on Motul for a nearly stock WRX and Rotella is what everyone swears by.

Been using it for about a year now and i love it! I however don't have any UOA's to back up my claims but there are others that have posted pretty damn good ones on the forums.

i just switched to rotella t-6 in my 05 wrx and it seems good so far (5 min of drive time so far) the valvetrain seems much quieter... the subaru tap doesn't seem so loud now. I have been using rotella 15w-40 (non synthetic) in my turbo diesel for about a year now and it have had no problems I'm going to be switching that over to the 5w-40 t6 formula shortly. GO ROTELLA
