Default 6spd swap question

im currently doing a 6spd swap on my 06 wrx..im sure there is a thread about my question but i cant find it..what exactly do i do with the connector on top of the tranny for the dccd when im not using it? i was told the 5spd has 4 wires and 6spd has 6..and i was told to cut the connector and soder the wires..any suggestions?

Coil it up and zip-tie it to the side of the trans or put leads on it and tie it to the dog bone.

I cut 2 dccd cables solder about 10ft of extra cable to it and ran it through the firewall and inside car. This way I had cable sitting there and ready for when I did my dccd controller.

your 2 options are posted above. You don't have to cut the connector. If you can find 6pin connecter you can just depin/repin your wrx connector and plug it right in. Later on you can pin the 2 dccd wires for that function. You will want to make some sort of connection there and not a permanent solder in the event you need to make repairs/clutch/etc.

Dccdpro is a nice controller if you want to grab one now or later.
