Default Side skirt rubber seal question.

I am taking my aspen white 2002 subaru wrx into a body shop to get the side skirts color matched. Question: do they paint the black rubber sealing strip between the sideskirts and body? or does subaru sell a white rubber seal?

the body shop I went to painted it.
i was
but, then again, i think it looks cleaner now.
Paint hasnt really flaked off of it significantly.
They used an adhesion permoter (premotor?!? am i an idiot?) because they were worried about the paint adhering to the plastic skirts.

Hope that helps...

It's promoter.

And to the OP, I think Subaru only sells black seals.

^^IMHO, I think the black seal looks...well...more OE.

If it's painted white, it hints at a respray, which may be frowned upon by some if you plan to sell your vehicle later on.

Again, that's how it works locally.....not sure if that applies to US folks

I agree. Does it apply? Depends on the potential buyer's knowledge of the car or cars in general.

^^^ that's the correct answer. If you bought a white 05 wrx, then your stock color matched sideskirts came with a light grey strip. The aftermarket sideskirts that Lextesy mentioned above, that was purchased from s.g.p. also came with the light grey stripping.
