i have a vf30 with pinks and the AP vf30 OTS map and i put down 263 hp with 253 trq to the wheels on a 2.0L . I still need to get mie custom tuned .

So in answer to your question no it is not at the full potential.

Thank you for this input, how much boost does the OTS map uses ?

not the best exhaust setup for power, 91 octane I assume too?

send to your tuner I'm sure he can make you a great revision Tim Bailey is one of the best.

I have no idea Maybe someone has a clue ?

As for the "Butt-feeling" at this RPM I don't feel anything unusual..

could also be a lack of fan or airflow at that rpm, most dynos dont do this properly for a subaru.

I am well aware that this exhaust setup is probably too resrtictive to get the max power possible. I had to compromise between sound (police) and power. Unfortunately, I my part of the country, I had to choose Sound I assumed that the restriction wouldn't be THAT bad tough

The Octane is 94.

About Tim, I did try to contact him via email a few times (and Surgeline Sales) in the last months but NEVER got an answer. I guess phone would be quicker but my English sucks so much that I prefer waiting for emails..

Well this was a Dyno Day with a bunch of other Subarus from the Montreal chapter. If the airflow was bad, would I see the same behavior on the other Dyno Sheets ??

Depends how it was tuned. a super conservative car may not care for additional airflow, a moderately tuned car will, depends on how many pulls and how hot the car was when it went in. Did the car have 40+ mph fans on it or the intercooler? If not, does that really simulate street airflow at the top of 3rd (100mph?) probably not

May I repeat that Tim bailey is one of the best in the world, it is possibly not his map. I have seen fault in dyno operators causing incorrect readings (lifting up top or too early).

There was no fan installed on the TMIC

There was some big ass fans in front of the car, I could not tell about the specification of those.

I will add that the pull was done in 4th gear if that changes anything..

Stock injectors on an '07 are fine for his setup. He desperately needs a Walbro fuel pump though. I put down 240/320 with an AP, k&n drop in filter, STi tmic, Walbro fp, full 3" turboback exhaust (bellmouth downpipe and Perrin single tip catback) and Cobb AP.

I then put down 260/320 with same mods and a tune a month later. My dyno sheets are somewhere in this section.

I cannot say for the Fuel Pump, but monitoring my injector duty cycle on my AP shows a MAXIMUM of 85% so I guess there's still space left for that..

I was planning to install a Walbro 255 but this as yet to come.. Could this make SUCH a diffrence? Isn't the stock fuel pump 175-ish ?

Is it possible to monitor the flow of the fuel pump via the AP to see if this could be the problem ?

Also, I think I know the answer to that one but would a change of fuel pump require another tunning ?

4th gear on an 07? that goes to like 135mph? no enough airflow and too much load those cars need to be in 3rd on that dyno.

Aargh another reason to get another Dyno session elsewhere .... I'm already planning a 3-dyno pull session at Lachute Performance. They have a MAHA dyno. Will try to go next week.

It has nothing to do with the status/health of your motor. You had no idea what it put down before. What happened is you got tuned and were happy with your car. You then went to a dyno to get random numbers(my guess is to brag) and now think something is wrong with your car because it didn't put down OMGWTFBBQwhp. Road tunes/e-tunes and dyno tunes are not the same. Back to the original. It's just a piece of paper. Who gives a ****.

Agree in the fact that that is a very concerning dip in horsepower. I would at the very minimum get a 255 fuel pump and a custom tune to make sure it doesnt knock ...it definitely doesnt look good around 5500

The only way i would use an etune is if i upgraded injectors and needed to drive to the dyno to get custom tuned

A properly performed E-tune could yeild identical results to a dyno tune. It all depends on who is tuning and how may revisions have been conducted.

Silverfox - Did you perform a compression and leakdown test on your engine before loading the map? What about a boost-leak test?

Don't get so hung up on the numbers that the dyno is putting out. It is a Mustang Dyno, and they tend to read much lower than most. I would imagine that your numbers would be much closer to around 300whp.

The other thing you have to consider is that you have an e-tune. The tune is not optimized for your car and its peculiarities. See if you can get a protune done on your car to really maximize the gains from your modifications.
