Any other differences between the v6 and v7 other than AVCS? Anyone have V6? If so how do you like it?

The engine harness wiring is different...so depending on what car you want to put this in, it could be a lot harder of a swap. Also depending on what v7 engine you get could get way better cams and I believe the v7 is actually a stronger engine overall. You should go look through the EJ207 owners thread.

A lot of differences.
OBD 1, turbo, Open deck block, Coil pack and not coil on plug, and different head and intake manifold design just for starters. It won't be worth the money you'd be saving to get a v6. It isn't much different than the EJ20k in terms of reliability as well, as in, they are prone to spin bearings. I'm also highly doubtful that you would be able to use your stock ecu and wiring. You will most likely have to get the harness merged as well as get rid of OBD-2 compliance. Check out the Pre-2002 Factory Turbo Powertrain forum for more info. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=92 |

I would also look into:
Lachute Performance and JDMSpecC (here on nasioc) both of those places are highly reputable and will take care of you. |
