Default Have you ever bought something soley for it's Uniqueness?

I don't think I've ever bought something because I thought no one else would have it. I have shied away from things because every dickbag I know has one though.

This post was inspired by the Russian flatbiller riding used air-maxs in the recently purchased thread.

Cars and beer. Can't say "one of a kind" for clothing, but definitely stuff that isn't pop culture.

You get a good deal on those? Are there any leasing opportunities, or just purchasing?

It's more like a never ending exponential mortgage.

Plus, they get jealous when you start looking at vacation homes.

Yet being unique just to be unique can make you just as much of a dickbag.

I bought a guitar that was demolished on stage by Trent Reznor. There are plenty out there but it is a relatively unique guitar. One day I'll get it repaired so I can actually play it.

There is quite a difference between not getting something because every dickbag has one, and buying something in order to be unique. I basically just do the research buy option.

That's memorabilia, not buying some used air force ones cause you don't think anyone in Moscow has them. I would just display the guitar as is.

Which isn't being unique just to be unique...that's why I'd never own a BMW.
