Default Gas Mileage question and avcs

So I noticed that my gas mileage has dramatically gone down since the install of the ej207

car burns no oil. Feels really strong, no leaks. new wally fuel pump and fuel filter where installed. Stock sti injectors.

So i went on a trip this past weekend. Mostly highway cruising 68-75mph, nothing crazy. I tried to not use cruise control as it can sometimes drop below the desired mph and really gets into the throttle to catch up.

So i only ended up getting 285 miles on the tank which came out to an average of 22.8 mpg. With my old stage 2 ej205, this trip would have netted me over 27mpg.

could this have something to with running a lot avcs advance in the cruising range, allowing the car to get into boost much quicker with less throttle input?

other things to consider i guess...tires are all pumped up, alignment is spot on as far as toe goes, negative camber all around oh and i'm also running 15-40 rotella, but i ran this oil in my old motor too with no negative mpg side effects

any thoughts?

Are you still on the Stock 5 speed or the JDM 6 speed?

Also with my EJ207 with JDM 6 Speed I typically see only 21mpg...

i'm on oem 5spd.

I hit a bit of stop and go traffic on the way back, now that i remember. But it wasn't too bad, only about 1.5 miles and then it picked back up and i was cruising again at speed.

Were you running the same turbo and other mods with the EJ205?

Could be a few different factors; such as how rich is your tune? I assume you have already atleast been E-tuned or ProTuned on your EJ207...

Also the EJ207 + AVCS + TS VF37 = quick spool and power. doesn't take much to hit boost on that turbo and even quicker if you have a Ball Bearing TS VF36...You could get some daily driving logs and post it up in one of the forums and see what some of the tuners have to say.

i've been tuned, on dyno and also road.

my closed loop fueling targets are 14.47 but the fueling load compensations around cruise bring it to about 14.6

I just doubled checked the fuel compensations on the accessecu rom that i ran with my stage 2 car and it targets a richer A/F at cruise then the current rom.

Am i understanding the compensation tables correctly? so if my target is 14.47 and the load calls for .233 (additive)...than the actual target is 14.7 right?

Was the car tuned before or after the fuel pump was installed? Do you have a fuel pressure gauge you can monitor while the car is driving? What about the FPR? Is it in good working condition?

car was tuned with fuel pump. The motor was in really good shape, obviously there's no way to tell on mileage but it looked very clean. So i guess I can't really comment on the current shape of the FPR, but i guess its safe to assume it works fine, maybe??
