DIY : Installing Factory rear cup holder

Alright I know Subaru comes with a guide to show you how to install it but I thought it might be better with pictures to guide you through the installation.

Tools needed :

1) Screw driver or a drill
2) hook tool or panel popper.

My choices
Drill and Hook tool

Stock without rear cup holders.

Alright start by removing the trim in the center.

Then remove the screw in the center behind the trim you just removed.

After you completed that take your panel popper / hook tool and pull forward the trim.

Stock vs. cup holders!

Take the new trim you got from Subaru and push the cup holders into place.

Next take your "ashtray" and pop into place.

Now bend all 4 of the ends on the other side to hold down the "ashtray"

After that just push the panel back into place, put the screw back in and pop in the top trim. Now you have just completely installed cup holders into your 2008-2010 Impreza.

I have an 04 STi, it wouldn't work. Either way, I don't like having passengers! haha
