Default Don't Want Raspy!!!

I looking to take off both the cats on my exhaust piping and was thinking about leaving the resinator on so i don't get a raspy sound out of my exhaust. What would be the best way of avoiding "the raspy"? Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

you have answered your own question, keep the resonator on, and you wont get an annoying buzzing sound, if you put on a crap muffler you might still have some issues, i have a generic magnaflow silencer and it sounds great for the money, resonator still on

I'm running with neither of the cats and with the resonator and the only rasp I get is at around 4,700 RPM or so and it's not even that annoying really. It's not like the honda civic rasp that you're thinking of.

A turbo will kill the raspy noise, i guarantee it.

Thanks guys for the help. at the moment I am running a 4" muffler I bought on Ebay for $30 (which actually turned out better than I thought), but I have had a magnaflow laying around that I haven't put but want to, it has a 2.25" inlet and a 4" outlet.

I'm running borla headers with the first stock cat the second gutted with a 2.25 straight pipe.... It's very loud yes but it's not what I would call rhaspy by Honda standards that is. It just screams I guess.
