Default Is this a good price for a used wagon?

Its a WR Blue with 13k miles on the odo. Ext warranty (7 years I think) short throw, dimming mirrors, car cover, bumper cover (not installed) tinted.

He started at 21,333 I offered 19.5 he came back with 21 with warranty. He mentioned that he could knock 1200 off if I took it without warranty. Is 21 worth it or is 19,800 even worth it without warrantY?

Nick

Assume this is a used WRX wagon...

No, I don't think this is a good deal.

$19,800 seems high for a car with 13,000 miles on it, esp. when you can order a new WRX wagon for $22,000 out the door. For me a $2,000 isn't worth not knowing what happened the first 13K or living without new car smell.

Do a search for pricing prices etc., most guys are getting their cars for around $300 over invoice.

Extended warranties are always rip-off's, it might be worth $50.-, but not $1,200.-

The other extras are nice if you want them, but worthless if you don't, and you can get them all heavily discounted at www.subaruwrxparts.com or elsewhere.

Good luck,

Ben

If you're an IMBA member for 6 months, you can get any Subaru (maybe not the STi when it comes out ) for dealer invoice. Installed options are also priced at dealer invoice.

So, with regard to the $19,800 wagon (assuming you can sit tight for 6 months), is it worth it to you to save $4,000 to know how the WRX has been driven for the first 13,000 miles of its vehicular life?

There's nothin' like leavin' beamers/civics/pickups/SUVs in the dust as you accelerate from 85 to 95 on a grade in your WAGON without downshifting from 5th. A little more weight on the accelerator, and you're gone.

Sorry, I got my TS for $18,5 out the door: w/o options, $300 over invoice, + tax, fees, etc.

I've seen guys post that the got their WRX's for $300 over invoice, too, looking at $22-23 out the door. Do a search, it'll come up...
