Haven't seen this here yet. Found it on a Motorcycle site I frequent. Thought I would share.

It wasnt even a stock STi, they upgraded the turbo and did weight reduction. From the sounds of it the production car will not have those components. What a rip.

It is basically a slightly lightened JDM STI. The turbo is off the R205 model which is the top performance Japanese domestic market model STI. The JDM cars have always been a bit higher spec than what makes it to US shores.

For what it's worth, not many of us are keeping our cars completely stock nowadays, eh?

The point is, the new WRX/STI is in some fast company with those times around the 'ring'.

Sure, it wasn't. But it WAS built using complete factory components.

It is impressive nonetheless considering that it is an almost street weight 4 cylinder car running speeds that match Ferraris, Porsches, and the infamous GT-R.

all this does is make me want to trade in teh 09 wrx for a new 2011 sti sedan even more. i love the look and everything but honestly i may just trade in for the 2011 WRX and just modify it from there instead.

I am just loving the look and every bit of info that comes along the way for this coming model year.

^ Keep in mind that this car features all sorts of special goodies, and is driven by Tommi Makkinen. I would think that what he's driving will turn into the spec.C

Wow...157mph (253 Km/h) at the end but did anyone notice that at the top of the video to the right of the rearview mirror "2010 WRX STI". WTF is that? Is it an '11 or a '10?

its a 2011, the japanese tend to mark their cars a little differently, in japan the pignose sti's that were 06-07 models here in the states are considered 05-06 over there same for the bugeyes here they were 02-03 there the were stoped in 02 to change over to the 04-05 styling.
