Default New "Old guy"

Hey and Howdy all, I have just joined this list and find it VERY GOOD. I am retired and have a lifelong love of performance cars/motorcycles etc. I purchased a 2002 WRX Sport Wagon a few months ago and am having a great time with it. I can see many upgrades in the future I live half way between Denver and Colorado Springs, North and West of Monument. My other rides are: 65 Sunbeam Tiger(302/5speed), 65 Corvair Corsa, Ducati 996 and a "work in Progress" Lotus Super 7 Clone.

The WRX is a real hoot to drive........I find myself looking for 5.0 mustangs to 'make friends with"

Randy

Welcome to the club, Randy. It's nice to see another car junkie join the ranks. It sounds like you have some nifty hardware occupying space in the garage. Mmm...996....

I'm sure we'll meet up at some point. Cheers.

PS - What is a Lotus Super 7? Got pictures?

Hey Paul, thanks for the warm welcome......I will try to make the Red Rocks gathering on the 22nd. To see the Lotus clone go to:
www.anglefire.com/biz6/stalkerv6/index.html
Just received the chassis kit and am looking for a doner car for the bits I need to finish. Hope to have it complete for the Goodguys car show at PPIR in September.

Cheers,
Randy

Randy,
Have you shown up at a few autox events here in Denver in the Tiger? I seem to remember one running around.

Hi Mark,

I have been there as a spectator only....the Tiger has too much power and understeerall I would do is make smoke and create slicks from good road tires.... I plan to set up the WRX for Solo and AutoX. I did compete in SCCA road racing in the 60's and early 70's in a Fiat Abarth 1000Corsa....loved to spank the Minis.

Cheers
Randy

Default we need more old guys

We need more old guys, welcome aboard, from another old guy.

I used to know a guy who had an orginal Lotus Super 7. Took me for a very fun ride many years ago -- 1100 lbs, 110 Hp as I recall.
