Smoking deal, It looks like they are M2000 rated. I'm looking for SA rated, in case I ever do a track day. I may still get one, couldn't hurt to have 2. Lucky for me I used the loaners at the last event, and I know that a Medium fits me.

?? M - OK for auto-x and rally-x, SA-required for track days, correct? the ratings are M and SA, not S,M,L,XL.

Let me clarify my statement:

Bud asked in the AZSolo message board where we could try on these helmets,and they said the new loaners at the auto-x (June 8) were the same brand of helmet (Vega) they are selling in the group buy. I wore a size medium.

I don't know either, that's why I used my helmet to event analogy.

I didn't think he was, as my post was confusing since I read something on the other board, then posted here... But Bill can be a funny guy.

Medium, as in brand X medium will be completely different than brand Y medium, size wise... hey, it made sense in my head..

Ron, did you get your compressor back from Bret? He replaced the fuse on his, then it worked. I thought you might have left before he returned (and demonstrated an alternate way around the course..).

Scott on the autocrossing board said the new loaners they bought, and I used on sat, were the same ones this group buy is for, but I'm waiting for a concrete answer. I may still try to find some to try on, just to be sure. Are you going to get one of these, Bud?

No, Garen, Bret still has mine. If you can get it back, that would be cool. My other toy compressor was stolen out of the back of my wifes car with some of our camping chairs

. He got to take his runs? As his run group was going, he pulled up to Bill and I in the parking lot and asked if it started yet. How "alternate" was it?

Was the stuff stolen at the event? If so, that'd need to be reported.
I'll get the compressor.

Bret's path basically ignored all of the cones after the carousel; a nice, aesthetically pleasing straight line to the back of the course.

I need to do something. My old cycle helmet is shot. The lining is coming out of it. I want an SA rated helmet, but I don't really need one right now (as long as I stick to Auto-X and Raly-X). Besides, this is really cheap and it will make a good spare when I do buy an SA rated helmet.

No, it was broken into elsewhere, not auto-x related. Thanks for getting that pump for me, just bring it to the next auto-x. I MIGHT go to Flag, still undecided. Did you say it was going to be a big event, or avg? I know it's separate from the Firebird events.

The organizers are putting the order in early next week (probably Monday), so if you don't contact them this weekend you'll miss out. They hope to have the helmets in time for the next auto-X, but no guarantees - especially if you order a color other then black or white (like I did). It's gotta' be RED baby! (And, those ones cost $4 extra. You know me, Mr. Big Spender.)

The helmets are in. Pick them up at the autocross tonight (Sat. 7-13-02). They couldn't fill the order with the cheapy Vega helmets so they gave us more expensive HJC helmets at the same price (see this thread).
