Places to watch fireworks??

Anyone have a favorite spot to watch fireworks from? The wife is bugging me to go into town to watch them tonight.

My patio! Where do they do them from? For summer fireworks in English Bay there are lots of great spots, but not sure where the Canada ones launch from.

Good question tora. I assumed that they would go down in English Bay but after a quick search I discovered that they are in Coal harbour near Canada Place.

Ahh, so that will suck from my place (granville island). I'd say anywhere on the North Shore would be good and not too crazy.

ya i was actually thinking Cypress earlier but I don't think it will be clear enough to see from up there.

19th floor of the old EA Blackbox building. It's right next to the Canada Place.

Ended up going with tora's suggestion and went to Lonsdale Quay in North Van. Although there were lots of people there, we were able to get some benches right on the water. I'm not a big fireworks person but it was good to get out. I got some amusement from the random collection of people there.

loomin and I watched right by the water in Coal Harbour! Lots of people, but still manageable.

I heard that there was a large crowd waiting on the beach at English Bay...

Did anyone see the big jet doing circles over Spanish banks, ocean, downtown area last night around 7:30? It did at least 5-6 large circles that I saw plus one close fly-by over my place. IT was a 4-jet passenger sized plane...just wondered if it was in trouble.

i could see the tops of the fireworks from my place...meh. Glad other peeps got some good views and HA HA at the people waiting in English bay.
