Rear bumper paint ruined after spraying with Tarminator

I sprayed rear bumper with Tarminator to remove what appears to be tree sap... I sprayed and left on the rear bumper surface for about 10 minutes while I went on to do some other stuff.

I wiped off all residual Tarminator from the bumper, then that's where I noticed bumper color had faded in several areas where Tarminator had dried up. Although they advertise it's 100% safe on clear coat, looks like it's not true.

Is there anything I can do to restore the paint surface?

Have you tried wax/buffing the area that faded? If that does not work, I would guess the chemical has ate away though some coating, and it probably wont be able to bring it back.

Got any pics of the affected area? Was it hot and in the sun when you used the Tarminator? I don't have experience with that product in particular, but I know working in the sun can be a bitch sometimes. cool to the touch paint in the shade can make a huge difference.

I would suggest to wash the bumper with dawn, to make sure it's stripped of everything, then use a polish on the entire bumper and re-wax it.

same this happened to my hood on my WRX the clear coat came right off, just buff it out with a high grade cutting polish with a coarse pad and it will come right out, follow it up with some clay glaze to get rid of the swirls then seal it should do the trick worked for me, helps when you detail for a living lol

Call stoner about the problem. They replaced the grill on my car two years or so ago. They changed formulas back then and had a rash of complaints.
