Default Dyno Tune: 2.5 HTA Green 452whp

Event: Dyno pull
Location: The Shop
Tires: crappy all seasons

Car: 2007 STi Limited
Tuner: John Visconti @ The Shop
Dyno: Dyno Dynamics
Transmission: stock six
Gear: Probably 3rd but not sure
Peak HP: 452whp on meth, 401wh on pump
Baseline for stock STi: do not know
Target boost: 24-25psi on pump, 27-28psi on meth
Target AFR: 11.5
Fuel: Pump gas @ 401whp and pump + 100% meth @ 452whp
Engine/power mods: Wiseco pistons, Manley rods, ACL main and rod bearings, GSC S1 cams, HTA Green, 850 injectors, Walbro 255, Perrin Big MAF intake, Agency Power inlet, Perrin FMIC, Cobb catless DP, Invidia G200 CBE, Forge diverter, TGV deletes, Perrin fuel rails, Aquamist HFS-6 (one nozzle), Crawford AOS, E Boost 2, AEM UEGO. Stock up pipe, stock header.
Driveline: Clutchmasters stage 4 clutch.

George @ ICS built this motor himself and I must say for drop ins it really runs well. It would only slap over the winter when the motor was given gas on startup. Now with summer I dont hear any slap at all. Just changed the oil on Friday and it still was about half of the dipstick over 3000 miles. Overall George really helped me out throughout my entire build. Car is running very well. I've had two Subarus (05 WRX and 07 STi) and I would call this the best tune to date. Very nice to see after I spun a bearing and blew up a ring on my stock stage 2. Tuner really took his time on it. I have been in other STi's with HTA Greens, and I really believe the GSC cams made the difference in my car...even though its still a mild cam. I recently changed my all seasons to BFG KDWS and I think the car probably has 11.7s to maybe high 11.6s over 120mph with the better tires and launch control but will have to see. My clutch fork is blown up so want to get that fixed before I head back to the track again. Also like the Crawford AOS. No smoke at all on hard pulls, but still expensive for an AOS. Overall the car is a lot stronger than I anticipated. IMO the cams really added the extra umph.

lucky!!!! any time slips, videos??? also was your runs with LC or just good o fashion skill???

im running the green HTA on E85, stock bottom end, ACT clutch, EWG, TBE, FMIC, single walbro, 860cc injectors, CAI

with regular crappy launchs(2.0 60') i managed a 12.5 on 17.5 psi, im going 2000s next, double walbro until the motor blows and then its probably a red next

No LC on that run. But I pretty much dumped it at 6k with a 1.8 sixty. I think if I build boost out of the hole I'll shave a tenth plus. I had around 20k on those all seasons and literally almost blasted into a Jeep Cherokee on 95 last week because I was skidding whhile braking. Never truly understood the value of tires until I mounted the BFG's this past week. Completely different feel.

Wish I had E85 in Jersey. Why only 17.5 psi on yours? Whats the IDC on E85?

Hey man nice numbers. What rpm are you hitting full boost at? Post up your graph when you get a chance.

Glad to see those numbers as I'm going with GSC Stg 1 cams and a similar output turbo. Any head work? Get that graph up and congrats.

I'm hitting full boost at around 4400-4500rpm.

Other than the cams I have no other head work. Stock valvetrain, etc. Just had valve lash adjusted, etc.

I can't get my dyno sheets uploaded to photobucket or something similar. They are scanned as a PDF so it won't let me. I'll have to take a picture tomorrow morning at work and load it that way.

Just noticed ur running the stock header & up pipe with those #'s?!! That's insane!
So dyno sheet says 24-25 psi. Did the tuner turn it up to 25 on pump? Also are those #'s corrected or uncorrected?

Yes it makes 25psi on pump, but really only up top in higher gears.

As for the numbers being corrected or uncoreccted I do not know the tuner would have to chime in I wasn't there for the tune and just got these graphs last Tuesday.

I will most likely go rotated later this year, but would also be curious to see what the car would do with a better header on it, another meth nozzle, and more boost. Although not sure how much more boost this turbo has in it. This is only the 2.4" inlet and I think something like 30psi would be definitely pushing it. Anyone know the most power someone has made on a HTA Green? Would think you can crank out 500whp if you push it.

Junior used to use a 1.2 CF, so I am sure John is using the same.

This the highest HTA green that I can remember
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...postcount=1177

Keep in mind on the road dyno you will make around 380whp, I am sure you can hit 500whp on that dyno with more boost and better gas.

Nice setup, congrats

That's a ton of power to make on stock heads and header/up pipe! If you had a aftermarket header/up pipe I bet you would make close to 480 on meth! Did you do valve after market springs and retainers with the cams? Having the 7200 rpm ceiling doesn't seem to hurt you though, it's seems like the perfect set up for the HTA green.

That's pretty crazy on the stock maf do you know the boost on that? Would like to see that thing on a dynojet. Or at the track.

I also think I could maybe lay down 500 wheel (edit: with headers, more boost, etc) but not sure I really care that much about it to go for it. Would rather just go rotated than try and squeeze every last hp out of a green. But who knows maybe I'll go for it.

PS: it always kills me to see a VF39 trap higher than my HTA Green lol (hence your sig). Thats pretty sick.

yeah my car is okay

here is the log from his car but I don't see the boost, it says MRP but the numbers don't make sense, I imagine he is running 27-28psi

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...postcount=1153

Here is one of his threads, at 24psi he made 360whp on the road dyno and trapped 118mph. So my estimate of you making 380whp on road dyno and trapping 120mph is exactly right .

These cams really surprised me. I was expecting 425whp on a dynojet with this setup, not 452whp on a DD. This is completely stock valvetrain with GSC S1 cams. Some may disagree but with my mods I can really only attribute these numbers to the cams. I really think they made the difference. George @ ICS recommended them and I think he was right on. I'll post some datalogs soon. John Visconti really dialed this thing in. Running very strong and safe.

Both George and I have rev'd it out to 7500rpm and it still pulls pretty hard and safe. My 11.89 was shifting around 7100rpm. (I spun a rod bearing ffs'ing my stage 2 so I'm reluctant to go nuts right now). Might win'd it out to 7500 at the track once my fork it replaced but not sure....spinning a bearing and destroying a ringland humbled me lol.

I would also think he's pushing 27psi+ based on what I've cut with mine, but you never know. I'm sure there are better driver's out there. Still nice numbers on his though. The HTA Green has really impressed me so far. I always thought it was a high 11 second turbo at best but now I think I can cut high to mid 11.60s with LC and the BFG KDWS I just mounted. We'll see in a couple weeks once I fix my fork. Again, I have to say GSC S1's FTW!

mine (HTA Green on meth) did 120 mph at 22 psi in 89 degree temps last year. but mine is a TR and they are typically lighter. I was on the stock BPV and it would not hold any boost. I had the same issue with the 20g (ran 116 mph) but couldn't figure out why, thats why I went to the HTA green. then finally read a post by Phatron about going to the forge BPV and instant change in boost holding. thanks RON!

but great numbers all the same; bet you yours will hit 122 now no problem

Well I'm happy the owner enjoys the car as much as I did.

Drives like a dream aka stock car.

You could let your mom drive it... she'd only be surprised if she floored it.

I think someone asked about the maf, the car has a Perrin Big Maf.

What duration are the GSC stage 1's? I'm not doubting your power at all so I hope you didn't take it that way. It just made me a bit more interested in GSC's products lol!
