Default Keeping Clean, engine, interior, and now for a buff

Now that i am away from home and can actually keep my car clean i used some of my free time today to pressure wash the engine bay and wash the exterior. I used simply green liquid spray (about half the bottle) never scrubbed a thing just simply sprayed it on everything and then used the pressure washer at the car wash to spray it off. engine bay looks like new. then i used the same stuff on the interior.

So now that the interior looks a little better, and the engine bay looking sharp, i kinda wanna buff the car. But ive never done it before.

Anyone got any helpful pointers for buffing?

Right, i had searched around and read into a couple forums, also a detailing book from the book store. I was more or less looking for what not to do from others personal experience, what works and what doesnt work, what kinds of materials people are using. etc.
