Default '00 2.5 rs worth it?

'00 2.5 RS! - $7200???

Ok so here's the deal, Right now I know of a '00 2.5 rs with around 90k in great condition, never been in a wreck. Clean title, all service records, new Exedy clutch at 85k miles (during which the flywheel was resurfaced and balanced), and fairly new tires. manual tranny, in silver.

The asking price is $7200

is it worth it?????

Kbb excellent value for private party is $5460

I know its rare to come by this condition of 2.5 which is why im in this dilema!

Eh... even '98/'99 OBS automatics go for $7-9K from dealers around me.

People say they can get an RS for like $2000 and crap... I dunno how. Here in PA it's tough to get them for anything less than $5-6K from a private seller with less than 150k. I say take a very good look at it and see if you can get him down in the $6-7K range.

Put it this way.

GC's are only getting more rare by the day and will continue to go up in value over time.

I have near mint one that I bought for $5600.00 with original 58K.

Keep i mind that the seller was the Father of a kid who went to school and this was his car brand new back then and when he got out it sat for 3 years in the driveway after he bought a Porsche 911 and could care less about the GC - He didn't know anything about Subaru's.

I have added so much to this car "time and money" that I would not take less than $9000.00 in the condition it is in currently IF I WAS SELLING mind you.

This was it after I bought it and cleaned it up after about 30 hours of labor.
I don't have the new pictures of it online yet but you can go to below link to see more.

Thanks man.

I try, this is when I first got it but now it's even better with JDM goodness and the motor work going in soon and interior parts, it's getting there.

I figure about another 3 grand and it will be done.

Looks nice, minus the Enkei wheels. Nice RS you got there.

IK it's harder to find these cars in the crappy climates we live in but I'd say pay the $5400 and no more or look in the SW for one, GL!
