As long as it isn't hooked into the wheels, its all good. Laptops are fair game too as long as it isn't hooked into the cars system.

I couldn't find my tape, so I improvised and used a band-aid haha

Front bumper is damaged a little. Alignment seems ok, but I'll be giving Jason a ring pretty soon.

Some pics from our car. We didn't get that many as we were busy staying on the road and on time...

Here's one of us leaving Burnaby. Notice how clean and pretty Truenosan's car looks

This is how she looked at the saturday night's hotel stop

So this was the most dramatic carnage we saw all weekend. We pulled over, recorded our stop time, put up a warning triangle, made sure everybody was safe, then got the cameras out!!

The "squirrel" getting in my way is the "official" story

I love that shot too, the car was literally coated in mud, so when I smacked my quarters going into snow banks in hairpins, I didn't care, since it just took the mud off

I was kinda laughing after I crashed.

I realized it could have been worse, and I'm greatful the car was pretty much ok and managed to drive home.

I also have access to a bodyshop and I used to work in one so I can fix up everything eventually when I get around to it

I wouldn't call it "damage". "Damage" is what you get in a parking lot. What you have are battle scars; veteran scars if you will. They're welcomed on a Suby.

...which reminds me...I have to buff out the scratches on my bumper from where I backed into a minivan .

Got some more pics from my buddy John's camera:

Early Saturday morning: John and I were doing some nervous, last minute checking/stickering in the hotel parking lot.

The navigators(John and I sometimes privately refered to the 3 of them as "the girlfriends"), hard at work.

John had the most dramatic photos of Jonny's "off":

This one gives you a better perspective of just how steep the embankment was.

Glossy skidmarks tell the tale...

Jonny and Andrew, no worse for the wear...

This is Car 38. They're friggin insane. They drove that thing like it was stolen on every regularity, starting many stages with donuts... We followed them in a few places where they were running full-sideways, at hwy speeds on snow/ice/gravel forest roads, the whole time. They routinely stopped and doubled back so that they could film themselves drifting the same corner again. Unbelievable driving...

John and Catherine, on Sunday's lunch stop. I don't even remember which town this is in. John and Catherine led team VSC's scoring run, coming in 3rd out of 14 novice teams. In a 300HP, RWD, heavy-ass Mustang, and on their very first rally... Great work you two!!

Here's Christine and me, leaving the same lunch spot. We're smiling because we haven't yet realized that we were supposed to have left over 10 minutes ago... We got lucky as the next regularity started with 29km's of untimed "free zone" which we used to make up the lost time. We came in 4th in Novice (also our first event), just 16 points behind John/Catherine. Notice also, our ghetto door banner that we had to rebuild with masking tape and sharpie marker after the original blew off on the drive up the Coq.

Again, for those who are still wondering, this was an incredible event. We saw parts of the province that we would never have imagined seeing, and had an awesome time driving and navigating. If you enjoy driving in the snow (and think you're pretty good at it), then come out next year... It truly is one of those events you remember for years and years. I promise that you will not regret it!

-Tim and Christine, Car 40

I think that's Steve Romanuik from Kelowna. If so, he's just a crazy guy in general. He's a pro mountain biker (which I'm sure alot of you would know) and he is UNREAL. hits the biggest gaps/drops like it's no big deal.

Whoa... somebody has a man-crush...

Actually, car 38 was 2 guys named Marcel and Jon... I would have recognised if Steve Romaniuk was in attendance. I've seen my fair share of bike vids...

That car's my work dd... (I'm a field tech in a big-assed territory) It didn't really take that much of a beating, actually. I dragged the undercarriage through some chunky ice and snow through a few spots on the first stage, but no worse than you would have done going down a sidestreet last month. She survived the weekend without a scratch! So did John's Mustang and Wizzelt's WRX. Hey, if it can be done in a 40 year old Saab, it can't be that hard on your equipment...
