Default Muffler touching my hitch is it ok? LGT 00

I installed a hitch on my LGT 2000, and i have a WRX muffler. I had to put the muffer really tight against the hitch due to the way the hitch is made. I had to stretch out the rubber supports since i had to lower the muffler.

It now resonates a lot inside the car, is this going to cause me any issues? Other then all that extra noise.

Maybe find some hangers for a different car that are longer? I mean, you couldn't need much more room. Or put a piece of thick rubber between the muffler and the hitch.

Or both!

The only thing I foresee happening is the stretched hangers over time giving out. But as a temporary fix, the rubber might work well

You might consider using the longer Kartboy polyurethane exhaust hangers - as I recall they're 3/4" longer than stock, and obviously they're more firm than the rubber ones. I'm almost positive I have an unused one at home I can send you. Just shoot me a PM if you want it.
