Both are great coilovers, Apexi's are very similar in design to the BC coilovers.

Both have pillowball uppermounts. The Apexi's have front camber plate adjustment.

I would suggest sticking with your instincts, Tein.

Rallysportdirect has/can get both of these

The Apexi is going to be similar to the Tein Flex.
Both will be good coilovers, and are prices around the same ball park (SS and the Apexi).
If you are going to be doing 99% of your driving on the street, and dont need to run mega camber the SS will be the better choice. More comfortable on the street, same adjustment range, and the nice thing about Tein is they are rebuildable here in US. Also as the name implies, SuperStreet they will hold up better for day to day driving and the pesky Utah pot holes.

The Apexi will have many more features like stated above such as the pillowball top hats. However with those top hats you will have more road noise, and a harsher ride. Another thing is that pillow ball top hats will wear out over time if the car is driven on the street day in and day out. The nice thing about the Apexi is they are independent ride height adjustment as well, allowing you to have a much better control over the drop with out effecting the ride. Where as if you try to slam your car Teins you will bottom them out quite fast if you go beyond their spec. However with the Apexi you get much more features for about the same $$.

So at the end of the day you choose what you want out of the coilvers.
Street Car, Tein SS hands down.
Street Car with 5-10 track days a year, or if you want to slam your car to fit huge wheels and get the hella flush look the Apexi will get you what your looking for.

On a side note, you can get the SS-P from Tein. Which is the SuperStreet but it will come with top hats rear, and a camber adjustable front top hat.
