Default super high power RS?

at the risk of sounding high, i have a question for this crowd. I've searched and searched for the answer to this and all signs come up negative, but maybe you know something i don't.

There is a vehicle on another subaru enthusiast forum that states he has nearly 300whp and 276wtq...buuut he owns an un-swapped GC. I asked him about it, and he claims transmission, internals, valves, blah blah blah, but nothing that i believe (for what thats worth) would justify these numbers.

is this even a possibility, or should i just chalk this up to ignorance and have a chuckle.

I don't necessarily want to throw this guy under the bus, and post a link, but i'm tempted.

i can has answer?

The car in question does not have the R&D put into it that the one in the link does, so i'm declaring shenanigans! i did enjoy the article though. thanks

im going to wait and give him a chance to explain himself more thoroughly. this was more of a question out of curiosity rather than spite.

even the N/A that broke 300 never saw the street the owner sold it b/c it WAS NEVER reliable actually after that breakthrough in 2005 it sat in a garage. YOu can't make reliable high power that is easy to maintain with a Ej18, EJ222, EJ251, EJ253.

IF he said EG33 , EZ30D EZ30R or EZ36R then yes that is easily possible
